THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THAI PRIVATE HIGHER EDUCATION ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING DEDICATION TO WORK OF PERSONNEL IN THE DIGITAL EDUCATION ERA

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) study on the level of the characteristics of Thai private higher education administrators; 2) study the level of dedication in the work of personnel within Thai private higher education institutions in the digital education era, 3) finding the relationship between the characteristics of administrators and the dedication of personnel in Thai private higher education institutions in the digital education era., and 4) identify the characteristics of administrators that influence the dedication of personnel within Thai private higher education institutions in the digital education era. In order to create a predictive equation of the dedication to work and determine the high competency administrator characteristics in the digital education era. The mixed research methodology was used with a study population as teachers and personnel higher education institutions in Thailand. The quantitative research instrument was a 5 level rating scale questionnaire and qualitative research used interview guide. The statistical techniques employed for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis using the statistic package for social science program. Moreover, used content analysis for qualitative data. The results of research showed that the characteristics of the management and the dedication of the personnel within Thai private higher education institutions in the digital education era was high level. The relationship between management characteristics and the dedication of personnel within Thai private higher education institutions has a moderately positive relationship. The results of the research can be used to further develop the characteristics of Thai private higher institution administrators in order to create suitable and quality professional administrators for the management of Thai higher education institutions in the midst of digital education to be efficient and effective.
