TEACHER’S OPIOION TOWARDS THE ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION OF WITAYANONT SCHOOL SAPHAN SUNG DISTRICT, BANGKOK METROPOLIS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the teachers’ opinions towards academic administration; 2) to compare the teachers' opinions on academic administration based on the gender basis, and 3) to find the teachers' recommendations on academic administration at Wittayanon School, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok. The participants of this research were 40 teachers working in Wittayanon School, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok in the academic year 2020. A questionnaire was created by the researcher with 3 experts having a IOC value between 0.67 -1.00 and reliability value .946.  The data was analyzed through basic statistic, i.e., frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the differences were tested by using the mean test, standard deviation with gender variables.


The results were as follows: 1) The teachers' opinions towards academic administration at Wittayanon School, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok were at a high level in holistic view with an average of 4.08. All aspects were at a high level when look at each aspect, i.e., the measurement and evaluation aspect with an average of 4.17; the media development, Innovation and technology for education had an average of 4.14, an average of 4.02 for learning process development, and an average of 3.97 for educational institution curriculum development. 2) There were no differences in opinion among the male and female on academic administration in Wittayanon School, Saphan Sung District, Bangkok. , and 3) Teachers’ recommendation consisted of the development in school curriculum, learning processes, media, Innovation and technology for education, and measurement and evaluation, which in all 4 areas must be developed and improved in all aspects of academic work.
