Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1. to compare the pre and post science learning achievement of Prathomsueksa 5 students through the 7E learning cycle model with questioning technique, and 2. to determine students’ satisfaction toward the instruction. The population for the study included 157 students in Prathomsueksa 5 of Amatayakul School Bangkok in the second semester of the academic year 2021. The samples were selected by cluster sampling including 68 students. The research design is one group study, pre and post experiment test. The instruments for the study consisted of 1) the lesson plans based on the 7E learning cycle model with questioning technique for the “Water Sky and Stars” scientific theme, 2) the item-multiple choice test measuring student’s scientific achievement and 3) the Likert-type 5 rating-scale for the satisfaction of students toward the instruction. All instruments were checked the index of item-objective congruence (IOC) by 3 experts. The data were analyzed by statistics as arithmetic means, standard deviations and a t-test. The findings of the study revealed the following :1)The Prathomsueksa 5 students learned with the 7E learning cycle model with questioning technique showed a higher score in science learning achievement in post-test at .05 significantly. 2) The Prathomsueksa 5 students learned with the 7E learning cycle model with questioning technique had the most satisfaction level toward the instruction.
