IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK THAT AFFECTS TEACHING AND LEARNING IN SUSTRAINABLE THE NEW NORMAL

Abstract
This academic article aims to present an analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education system of students in health science programs. The pandemic has led to changes in the teaching and learning formats due to increased spread, resulting in continuous impacts that have altered the daily lives of students, staff, and faculty to the extent that a "New Normal" lifestyle has emerged. This has led to three main teaching formats: 1) two-way communication learning, 2) one-way communication learning, and 3) assignment-based learning, along with adjustments in assessment methods.
The impact of the COVID-19 situation has greatly affected both instructors and students, particularly in terms of teaching preparation, use of instructional media, communication with students, designing interactive online classes, utilizing various teaching aids, and ensuring optimal understanding of lessons. Additionally, there have been adaptations in assessing student learning outcomes in online environments.
The teaching methods in online systems often adhere to the principles of the ADDIE Model, which is a systematic instructional design framework. Moreover, the effectiveness of online teaching is enhanced through various tools such as Zoom, MS Teams, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams Classroom, Cisco Webex, Google Meet, Facebook Messenger groups, and Line groups.
Effective online teaching techniques are particularly crucial for instructors in health science disciplines who need to practice in healthcare settings such as hospitals and various health service facilities. Hence, learning methods must align with current circumstances, leading to the emergence of a new normal in teaching and learning formats.
