Morality Promotion toward Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy for Students of Wat Pongploy Wiriyaram Buddhist Scripture School under the jurisdiction of the National Office of Buddhism

Abstract

        This research aimed to study the state of problems and suggestions in morality  promotion toward philosophy of sufficiency economy for students of Wat Pongploy Wiriyaram Buddhist scripture school under the jurisdiction of the national office of Buddhism. By using the population in this research, namely teachers of Wat Pongploy Wiriyaram Buddhist scripture school under the jurisdiction of the national office of Buddhism, who served in the academic year 2016, totaling 28 people. The research tool was a questionnaire, Rating Scale 5 level and open-ended questionnaire. Data analysis using frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation.

          The findings are as follows

1. Morality promotion toward philosophy of sufficiency economy for students of Wat Pongploy Wiriyaram Buddhist scripture school under the jurisdiction of the national office of Buddhism. Overall is at a high level (m = 4.29), sorted as follows: the highest average is the politeness Very level (m = 4.40), followed by honesty High level (m = 4.35), and the lowest mean on diligence is at high level (m = 4.18).


2. problems of Morality promotion toward philosophy of sufficiency economy for students of Wat Pongploy Wiriyaram Buddhist scripture school under the jurisdiction of the national office of Buddhism. Found that there were problems as follows: lack of cooperation from parents, lack of moral promotion manual, lack of coordination with external agencies to join as a lecturer, lack of continued monitoring and evaluation of student behavior and lack of media, equipment and technology. The recommendations were consistent with the 5 problems, namely, should coordinate with parents to understand in order to cooperate in all aspects, should assign a working group to prepare a manual for moral promotion, should coordinate with external agencies to join as a lecturer, should be an ongoing plan to monitor the performance of students and should provide media, equipment and technology.
