Guidelines for Parents Involvement in Skills Preparation to Using Computers for Learning of Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Abstract

  The objectives of this research were 1) to study the need for parents' participation in preparing computer skills for learning; for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder; 2) to develop guidelines for parental participation in preparing computer skills for learning; for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and 3) to study the effect of using a parental participation approach in preparing computer skills for learning. for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder the target groups used in this research were 10 Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder in the academic year 2022 and 10 parents of Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The tool used was group discussion questions. a cognitive and comprehension test, a computer skills assessment of parents and Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, an attitude test, and a parent satisfaction questionnaire on the parental participation in the preparation. with computer skills to learn for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder Data were analyzed using basic statistics and Wilcoxon matched pair signed- rank test using the computer program SPSS and content analysis.

The results of the research were as follows: 1. The results of the study required the participation of parents in preparing computer skills for learning. For Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, it was found that from the parent group discussions, Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder Have the ability to recognize computer components computer maintenance and the use of computer programs is low In addition, parents saw that the preparation of computer skills in learning It is one of the most important skills that children should prepare for. Because it can be seen as concrete Children practiced on their own develop systems thinking There is a work plan and develop independent self-learning skills Therefore, there should be guidelines for parental participation in preparing computer skills for learning that are consistent with the needs of children with efficiency.
