Legitimacy and organizational legitimacy strategies

Abstract
organizational survival and growth is legitimacy. Any organization experiencing a crisis of
legitimacy is likely to collapse. The study of organizational legitimacy has attracted a large
number of organizational theorists, especially the New Institutionalism. This article
presents ideas and debates about the new institutionalist's view of legitimacy in terms of
definition, type of legitimacy, and organizational legitimacy strategies, which have two
main strategies, the decoupling strategy and the strategy of isomorphism.
