เสียงของการอยู่อาศัยที่หนืดพรุน: ภูมิทัศน์เสียงรบกวนในตึกแถวย่านตลาดน้อย

บทคัดย่อ
“เสียงรบกวน” เป็นปัญหาที่กระทบต่อสุขภาพทางกายและจิตใจผู้อยู่อาศัยในเมือง ทั้งนี้ งานศึกษาเรื่องเสียงรบกวนในไทยยังเน้นเชิงเทคนิค แต่ขาดข้อมูลเชิงชาติพันธุ์วรรณนาที่สะท้อนประสบการณ์ของผู้อยู่อาศัย บทความนี้นำเสนอภูมิทัศน์เสียงรบกวน (noisescape) ของย่านตลาดน้อย เขตสัมพันธวงศ์ กรุงเทพฯ ผ่านประสบการณ์ของเหมย นักเขียนบทภาพยนตร์วัย 28 ปี ที่อาศัยในย่านนี้แต่กำเนิด ผู้เขียนเก็บข้อมูลผ่านการศึกษาแบบชาติพันธุ์วรรณนาเสียงรบกวนผ่านการไปเยี่ยมเหมยที่บ้านและสัมภาษณ์เพื่อสะท้อนประสบการณ์โสตผัสสะของเธอและเปรียบเทียบกับของผู้เขียน ในช่วง พ.ศ.2566-2567 ประสบการณ์ด้านเสียงของเหมยถูกพิจารณาผ่านแนวคิดความหนืดพรุนเพื่อทำให้การศึกษาภูมิทัศน์เสียงรบกวนถูกทำความเข้าใจผ่านการไหลเวียนของวัตถุสภาวะในพื้นที่ร่างกาย-บ้าน-ย่าน งานศึกษานี้พบว่า เสียงการทำงานของอะไหล่เหล็กและเสียงสุนัขสร้างภูมิทัศน์เสียงรบกวนของย่านที่แทรกผ่านและยึดโยงสเกลต่าง ๆ ทำให้ความเป็นย่านดั้งเดิมไม่ใช่เพียง “มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมเชิงบวก” แต่ส่งผลต่อสุขภาวะ งานศึกษานี้เสนอว่า การพัฒนาย่านดั้งเดิมต้องพิจารณามิติของผัสสะ ไม่ใช่เพียงการอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรมหรือเศรษฐกิจสร้างสรรค์
