Happiness, religion, and creativity: The trend of subjective and psychological well-being

Abstract

The pursuit of happiness, which includes both social and economic dimensions
affecting an individual’s life, ought to be the paramount objective of government.
Moreover, the well-being of students represents a significant challenge that must
be prioritized in the pursuit of happiness through holistic methods. This stands
in stark contrast to a notable limitation of traditional utility theory, which fails
to adequately consider the enjoyment individuals derive from goods, services,
activities, or amenities. This research is characterized as descriptive qualitative;
the methodology implemented involved a literature review; the instrument
utilized consisted of a compilation of keywords; the articles were gathered
through online applications and generators; and the data analysis was facilitated
by analytical applications and subsequently validated through confirmation. The
findings revealed that happiness is characterized as a condition of well-being and
contentment, whereas creativity is both innovative and requires applicability to
various activities. The summary of this study shows that happiness, defined as
well-being and satisfaction, is associated with higher levels of creativity, longer
lifespan, and a tendency for religious individuals to be happier, and highlights
the importance of subjective experience in psychological well-being and quality
of life. This study contributes a clear definition, action, and integration of
happiness, religion, creativity, subjectivity, and psychological well-being.
