The Leadership in Academic Administration of School Administrators Under Suratthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

     The objectives of the research were to 1) study the leadership in academic administration of school administrators under Suratthani  Primary Educational Service Office Area 3 and 2) compare the leadership in academic administration of school administrators based on school categories, working experiences, educational background, and current positions under the Jurisdiction under Suratthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 3. The sample included 196 educational administrators and chief academics. The research instruments included a set of questionnaires. Frequencies, percentiles, mean, SD, t-test, F-test and one-way ANOVA were used as statistic tools to interpret for results. The Scheffe’ Test was used to test pairs of data when significant variances were found. 


The findings were as follows:


  1. Leadership in academic administration of school administrators under Suratthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 3 is generally high and when analyzed into each category, it is found that the development in learning and teaching process was rated at the highest level for the Instructional Leadership. Followed by curriculum administration and research development for education was rated at the lowest level

  2. The result of the comparison of the leadership in academic administration of school administrators under Suratthani Primary Educational Service Office Area 3 which were categorized by types of school showed that there are no significantly differences in general and in each category. For educational background, position’s categories, there are no significant differences. For working experiences, it is found that there is significant difference in general at the statistic level of .05
