Academic Information Requirements and Guideline Development on The Website for The Department of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the need for academic information on the Faculty of Education website and 2) study the guidelines for the development of academic information on the Faculty of Education website in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. The population used in the research consisted of 12 administrators, 55 lecturers, 12 support staff, and 6,403 volunteered students. The data was collected by in-depth interviews, 5-point scale questionnaires supplemented by open-ended questions, Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC), and questions in a focus group discussion. The analytical statistics were percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation.
The results of the research showed that the need for Academic Information Management Systems (AIMS) were at high demand ( =4.40, S.D.=0.62) consisting of seven aspects: teaching and learning ( = 4.49, S.D.=0.60), curriculum ( =4.44, S.D.=0.63), quality assurance ( =4.41, S.D.=0.61) ,research =4.38,S.D.=0.62, academic service ( =4.30, S.D.=0.64),teaching practicum( =4.39, S.D.=0.65),and teaching license.Thus ( =4.35, S.D.=0.67), the guideline for the development was divided into three phases. The first phase was to improve existing academic information and services to have complete, accurate information and to update it to be current and up-to-date. all the time. Applying new features and categorising the contents for easier access were the second phase. The third phase was to increase information on academic work with additional suggestions in each field of information in order to obtain complete information in accordance with the needs of users in Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
