Relationship between School Administrator Competency and Quality Administration and Management Processes according to Basic Education Standards of a School under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 4

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were 1) to study the competency of a school administrator. 2) to study the quality of administration and the management processes of a school, 3) to study the relationship between the competency of the school administrator and the quality administration and management processes of the school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 4. Using survey research method, the instruments were used for data collection were questionnaires. Data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient.


          Results of the research can be summarized as follows: 1) Overall, the competency of the school administrator is at high level. Meanwhile, the aspect of school management
is perceived to be at the highest level; 2) Overall, the quality management processes of the school were at high level. Meanwhile, the quality administration and management systems of the educational institution was perceived to be at the highest level; 3) Overall, the relationship between the competency of the school administrator and the quality administration and management processes of the school under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 4 had high positive correlations, with statistical significance at the level of .01. (r = .88,  p < .01)
