Effects of Augmented Reality Media English vocabulary to enhance Reading Comprehension Ability of Secondary II students

Abstract

The century 21th education emphasized on augmented reality media which can attract students’ attention. Besides, the students can study and develop themselves at any time. Therefore, the researcher studied the effects of augmented reality media of English vocabulary to enhance reading comprehension ability of the Secondary II students. The purposes of the research were 1) to develop Augmented Reality Media of English vocabulary to enhance Reading Comprehension Ability of Secondary II students. 2) To Compare learning achievement between before and after through Augmented Reality Media of English vocabulary. 3) To Study the students’ satisfaction with their learning the Augmented Reality Media English vocabulary to enhance reading comprehension ability. The simple random sampling group were 30 Secondary II students at the Pomnakarachsawatyanon School. The research instruments consisted 1) Augmented Reality Media of English vocabulary 2) Lesson plans 3) English learning achievement with difficulty value between 0.46-0.61, discriminating power between 0.21-0.50 and reliability index of 0.78 and the questionnaire of 0.94. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test dependent.


         The results of the research were as follows: 1) Augmented Reality to English vocabulary Enhance Reading Comprehension Ability for Secondary II students It has an efficiency of 83.33 / 84.44. Which performs above the specified criteria 2) the learning achievement after applying the Augmented Reality Media to English vocabulary for Secondary II student’s significantly higher than after study at the .01 level. 3) The student’s overall Satisfaction towards learning Augmented Reality to English vocabulary Enhance Reading Comprehension Ability was at high level. Therefore, the researcher is committed to do this project to develop reading comprehension skill by using Augmented Reality (AR).
