Cost-Effective Strategies for Operating an Accommodation Business Chang Klang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract

     The purpose of this research is to study cost-effective strategies in accommodation business operations, problems and obstacles in operating an accommodation business. The tools were questionnaires and interviews with entrepreneurs. Collected data from a sample group in Chang Klang District, 9 establishments. The statistical analysis found that in cost-effective strategies in the accommodation business, that entrepreneurs give the most importance is about the service leadership strategy that emphasizes hospitable hospitality to customers. The sales promotion strategies focus on the rooms being clean, quiet, and having a security system. A strategy for commercial competition focuses on providing warm service like a tourist’s own home. Profit strategy focusing on investment plans that focus on cost reduction. Moreover, problems and obstacles often have problems in the development of the village's infrastructure system, traffic and electricity. The correlation analysis found that operating capital, which consists of capital expenditure and operating expenditure, had a significant positive correlation with the value of investment at the confidence level of 0.05.
