Dishearten Factors Affecting the Performance Based on Professional Standards of Teachers under the Songkhla Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

     This research aims to study 1) levels of dishearten factors, 2) levels of performance based on professional standards, and 3) dishearten factors affecting the performance based on professional standards of teachers under the Songkhla Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. Research samples were 297 teachers under the Songkhla Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 in the academic year 2020, selected by simple random sampling method by drawing lots. The instrument was a questionnaire with the reliability of 0.91. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research revealed that overall factors of dishearten that consisted of personal factors, environmental factors, and weak relationship factors were at a moderate level while the performance based on professional standards, both overall and individual standards, were at a high level. A dishearten factor negatively affecting the performance based on professional standards was weak relationship. This factor could predict teachers’performance based on professional standards at 3.3% (R2 = 0.033) with a statistically significance level of .01.
