บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการจัดการและการใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรป่าพรุควนเคร็ง ทุนทางสังคมที่ปรากฏอยู่ในชุมชนพรุควนเคร็ง และปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเกิดทุนทางสังคมในการจัดการและใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรป่าพรุควนเคร็งผลศึกษาพบว่า “พรุควนเคร็ง” เป็นแหล่งป่าของชุมชนที่คนสองลุ่มน้ำ ทั้งลุ่มน้ำทะเลสาบสงขลาและลุ่มน้ำปากพนังใช้ประโยชน์ร่วมกันมาตั้งแต่อดีตในการใช้ไม้และของป่า ตลอดจนเป็นแหล่งพันธุ์ปลาที่สมบูรณ์มานาน มีการใช้ประโยชน์จากสัตว์น้ำมากที่สุด รองลงมา คือ การนำกระจูด พืช สัตว์บก ไม้ และการใช้ประโยชน์ที่ดินเพื่อการเกษตร ตามลำดับ สำหรับการจัดการทรัพยากรป่าพรุควนเคร็งพบว่า การไว้วางใจให้คนในชุมชนจัดการป่าพรุด้วยตัวเองอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด รองลงมา คือ การที่คนในชุมชนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเพื่ออนุรักษ์และจัดการป่าพรุ ส่วนประเด็นการไว้วางใจให้เจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐจัดการป่าพรุควนเคร็งพบว่ามีระดับน้อยที่สุด สำหรับทุนทางสังคมที่ปรากฏอยู่ในชุมชนพรุควนเคร็งในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า ด้านความร่วมมือในกิจกรรมของชุมชนมีทุนทางสังคมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด รองลงมา คือ ด้านกลุ่มเครือข่าย ด้านความไว้วางใจ และด้านความเอื้ออาทรต่อกันในชุมชน ตามลำดับ ส่วนความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทุนทางสังคมกับการจัดการและใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรป่าพรุควนเคร็งโดยรวมมีความสัมพันธ์ในระดับสูงและเป็นไปในทิศทางเดียวกัน ในส่วนของปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเกิดและคงอยู่ของทุนทางสังคมในชุมชนพรุควนเคร็ง ได้แก่ ปัจจัยทางด้านภูมิศาสตร์ ทรัพยากร ปัจจัยด้านคนเคร็ง/ผู้นำชุมชน ปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวกับองค์กรชุมชน และปัจจัยเครือข่ายภายนอก
