A Comparative On The Quality Of Working Life Of University Lecturers In Bangkok.

The objectives of this research were to compare study the quality of working life of faculty members in public universities, Rajabhat universities and private universities in Bangkok. A university from each types was randomly selected from a list of universities. A questionnaire was used to collect the data from a sample of 378 university lecturers who did not hold any administrative position.

Research findings could be summarized as follows: Overall, the quality of working life of university lecturers in public and private universities in Bangkok was found to be at a high level but that of Rajabhat university lecturers was at a moderate level. When each aspect was considered, it was found that quality of working life of Rajabhat university lecturers was significantly different from public and private university lecturers, at was 0.05 level, in working environment, work progress and job security, relationships with colleagues and with community, and academic freedom. In addition, quality of working life of public and private – university lecturers are significantly different, at 0.05 level, in working environment.
