DISRABLE CHARACTERISTICS OF SCHOOL AMINSTRATORS IN SCHOOLS UNDER SURAT THANI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2.

The objectives of this research were : (1) to study characteristics of the administrators in schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 ; (2) to compare the characteristics of the school administrators in schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area office 2, classified by sex, education and work experince.

The samples consisted of 132 administrators. The instrument used to collect data were rating scale questionnaires. The data were analyzed with percentage, mean, standard deviation, Ftest and t-test

The finding were as follows:

1. The disirable characteristics of school administrators in schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, as a whole was at a high level. When considered in each aspect, they ranked from the highest to the lowest as follows the aspect of moral and ethic, the aspect of human relations, the aspect of leadership, the aspect of personality, the aspect of knowledge and capability.

2. The disirable characteristics of school Administrators in schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 classified by sex and education were not difference, and work experince was significantly difference at the 0.01 level.
