การพึ่งตนเองเพื่อต่อสู้ความยากจน

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นโครงการวิจัยชุมชนเพื่อพัฒนาและแก้ไขความเหลื่อมล้ำทางสังคมในกรุงเทพมหานคร ในประเด็นการแก้ไขปัญหาความยากจนเพื่อสร้างความเข้มแข็งแก่ชุมชน โดยเปรียบเทียบให้เห็นถึงวิธีคิดในการพึ่งพาตนเองของคนในชุมชนที่แตกต่างกัน รวมถึงบทบาทในการช่วยคนในชุมชนให้ต่อสู้กับความยากจนและมีความเข้มแข็ง งานวิจัยนี้ใช้การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการแบบมีส่วนร่วมที่สนับสนุนให้ตัวแทนของชุมชนเป็นผู้สร้างองค์ความรู้ใหม่ให้กับตนเองและชุมชนด้วยการศึกษาข้อมูล วิเคราะห์ปัญหา รวมถึงหาทางแก้ปัญหาที่กำลังประสบอยู่

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัญหาความยากจนของคนในชุมชนมีความเชื่อมโยงกับคุณภาพทางการศึกษา เนื่องจากการศึกษาช่วยสร้างอาชีพ รายได้ และการออม รวมถึงความสามารถในการให้การศึกษาแก่บุตรหลาน นอกจากนั้น ผู้นำชุมชนยังมีส่วนสำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อการพัฒนาชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนในชุมชน โดยคนในชุมชนจะต้องมีส่วนร่วมในการทำกิจกรรมต่างๆอย่างต่อเนื่อง และเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีให้เยาวชนเองได้เรียนรู้และดำเนินรอยตาม เพื่อทาให้ชุมชนมีความเข้มแข็งและต่อสู้ความยากจนได้อย่างยั่งยืน

ผลจากการวิจัยนี้ กรุงเทพมหานครสามารถนำไปใช้ในการแก้ปัญหาทั้งในเชิงนโยบายและแนวทางปฏิบัติที่เป็นรูปธรรม ในการพัฒนาคนในชุมชนให้สามารถพึ่งตนเอง ต่อสู้ความยากจน ลดปัญหายาเสพติด รวมถึงลดช่องว่างความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคม เพื่อทำให้กรุงเทพมหานครเป็นเมืองน่าอยู่ มีการปรับปรุงด้านกายภาพและสิ่งแวดล้อมทางสังคม รวมถึงด้านจิตใจอย่างต่อเนื่องบนพื้นฐานของชุมชนที่มีศักยภาพ มีความเข้มแข็ง และมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาอย่างแข็งขันกับกรุงเทพมหานครและภาคอื่นๆ ของสังคม

Self Reliance Strategy to Fight Against Poverty: Compare Between Two Communities with Different Mind Set

This research was conducted on various types of communities in Bangkok for the purpose of solving problems caused by social disparities. This paper is dealing specifically with the issue of poverty elimination and community strengthening through comparative analysis of self-reliance strategy between two different communities.

This research used the participatory action research method that enhances the representatives of the selected communities to create their own new body of knowledge to serve their needs and their communities by gathering information, analyzing and solving the problems they are facing.

The findings revealed that the issue of poverty is unfortunately connected to the education level of the people that lead to the opportunity to find their jobs, get high incomes, money saving and the abilities to give their children the higher education.

In addition, the strong leadership leader and the unity of the community members are the key concept to fight against poverty. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration hopes to utilize the results of this research to solve policy – related problems and concrete operations.

The community members are expected to be self-reliant to fight against poverty, and decrease the social inequality and the drug problem in their communities. All in all, a continuous improvement in physical aspects and social surroundings, as well as mental improvement on the basis of a community with strong potential is the expected outcome.
