The Relationship of Leadership Style and Perceived Organizational Climate to Organizational Citizenship Behavior with Organizational Commitment as a Moderator : A Case Study of Nursing Personnels in Government University Hospital

Abstract
This research is to study the relation of leadership and perceived organizational climate to organizational citizenship behavior with organizational commitment as a moderating variable by using a case study of nursing persons in a governmental university's hospital. The sample consists of 500 employees. Research instruments are: (1) leadership style test (2) organizational climate test (3) organizational commitment test and (4) organizational citizenship behavior test. Statistical analysis of this study consisting of frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and hierarchical multiple regression. The results of the study are that: 1) organizational commitment is a moderator and affects the relationship between team management leadership style and organizational citizenship behavior (β = .332, ΔR2 = .026, p < .01). However, organizational commitment isn’t a moderator that affects the relationship between authority-compliance management, country club management, middle of the road management leadership style, and organizational citizenship behavior. 2) organizational commitment is a moderator and affects the relationship between
perceived organizational climate and organizational citizenship behavior (β = .125, ΔR2 = .009, p < .01).
