Influence of Personality and Socialization on Students’Adversity Quotient of Science and Fisheries Technology Faculty, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus.

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to studythe students’ personal factors, personality, socialization, and adversity quotientandto analyze the influence oftheir personal factors, personality, and socialization on adversity quotient. The data were collected from 286 undergraduate students of the Science and Fisheries Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trangcampus, randomly selectedby proportional stratified technique.Research instrument was the questionnaire.The data were analyzed withthe statisticalpackage. Descriptive statistics included the percentages, the mean, and the standard deviation. Analytical statistics was the stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. Firstly, most of the samplewere male, were the sophomores, their parents coexisted,had an average monthly income between 2,501-5,000 baht, majoring in Technology, their GPAs were between 2.01-2.50. Secondly, the students had moderate level of the neuroticism dimension of personality. Whereas the openness dimension, the agreeableness dimension, extraversion dimension, and the conscientiousness dimension of personality were at the high levels. Their socialization and adversity quotient were also at the high levels. Thirdly, the independent variablesthat could significantly influence the
adversity quotient, at the 0.05 level, includedthe student’s major field, neuroticism dimension of personality, year of study, sex, openness dimension of personality,
andmarital status of the parent. These variables could jointly predict 36.2 percent of such adversity.
