Expectation of Staff Personnel of Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus Towards Transforming to Autonomous University

Abstract

The objectives of the research were: 1) to study the expectation of Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus Staff Personnel towards transforming to autonomous university, 2) to compare the expectation according to their personal factors, and 3) to study the relationship between knowledge of transforming to autonomous university and expectation of Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus Staff Personnel towards transforming to autonomous university. The sample size composed of 368 Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus Staff Personnel. Data were collected by questionnaires, and analyzed by statistical software. Statistical tools used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One Way ANOVA and Pearson’s product moment correlation at a 0.05 level of significance. It was found the research that the knowledge of Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus Staff Personnel of transforming to autonomous university was at a high level., and their expectation of Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus Staff Personnel towards transforming to autonomous university was at a high level. The hypothesis testing revealed that personal factors of genders, education, and tenure caused the difference of their expectation whereas these age, affiliations, type of personnel, position, and salary did not cause difference of their expectation. Likewise, knowledge of transforming to autonomous university and expectation had no relationship with each other.
