The relationships between five factor model of personality, perception of organizational climate and organizational citizenship behavior of government officials in one government agency : The mediating role of happiness at work

Abstract
The objective of this research is to study the relationships of five-factor model of personality and perception of organizational climate on organizational citizenship behaviors among government official on the mediating role of happiness at work. The sample consisted of 312 government officials in one government agency. Data were collected by questionnaires. Statistics for the data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, correlation and path analysis. The results are as follows. 1) five-factor model of personality has significant correlations with happiness at work and organizational citizenship behaviors 2) perception of organizational climate has significant correlations with happiness at work and organizational citizenship behavior 3) happiness at work has significant correlations with organizational citizenship behavior. 4) some dimensions of five-factor model of personality (extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, conscientiousness) and perceptions of organizational climate has direct and indirect effects on organizational citizenship behaviors through the mediation of happiness at work, and Neuroticism has direct effects on organizational citizenship behaviors.
