Child rearing, Attitude toward violence, Emotional quotient and Aggressive behavior of Late Adolescents at Tambon Khao Mee Keat in Aephoe Sadao, Songkhla Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to: 1) compare the personal factor with the aggressive behavior in late adolescents; 2) examine the relationship between child rearing, the attitude toward violence,
emotional quotient, and aggressive behavior in late adolescents. The sample included a control group 173 late adolescents in Tambon Khao Mee Keat, Amphoe Sadao, Songkhla Province. A questionnaire was chosen as a data collection instrument and percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (SD), F-test, t-test, and Pearson correlation Coefficient were used to analyze gathered data.

Results showed that 1) child rearing positively related to the aggressive behavior in late adolescents, statistically significant; 2) the attitude toward violence related to the aggressive behavior in late adolescents, statistically significant; and 3) the emotional quotient negatively related to the aggressive behavior in late adolescents.
