การศึกษาและสร้างสรรค์ฮูปแต้มภาพพุทธประวัติที่ปรากฏอยู่ในสิมนครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ในรูปแบบศิลปะเอ็กเพรสชั่นนิสม์ A STUDY AND CREAT A PICTURE OF BUDDHISM IN SIM THE CITY OF VIENTIANE, LAO IN IMPRESSIONISM FORM

Abstract

          The research aims to study the paintings depicting the stories of the Lord Buddha displayed in ‘Sim’ the ordination hall in Laos Buddhist temples, Vientiane, Lao PDR and the works created by Kamsook Kaewmingmuang, Lao National artist.  The sampling group in this study comprises 4 painting: “War”, “Laos Arts and Culture”, “Vessantara”, and “Woman and Rose”. The researcher studied the paintings as a means to explore motivation to create his works. The painting reflects Laos ideology that moved young people to sacrifice their lives and spirits towards nation-building. However, the painting of “Vessantara” was created according to the stories of the Lord Buddha told by Maha Phong Samalerk, the monk of Ongtue Temple who assigned him to paint, despite the fact that he did not directly study Laos patterns. Kamsook averagely painted 10 paintings a month. His paintings are altogether 2,000 pieces excluding some he did in the United States. The researcher, therefore, artistically created the expressionism of the paintings. The researcher expects that the expressionism of the paintings can attract the new generation and convince them to be interested in Buddhism.
