The Application of Postmodern Educational Philosophy in Learning Management for Instilling Ethical Behaviors Students in Buddhist Temple Charity Schools : A Case Study of Chaeng Witthaya School, Songkhla Province

Abstract
This research aimed 1) to study the concept of educational management of ChaengWitthaya School, a Buddhist temple charity school in Songkhla Province, 2) to study the postmodern educational philosophy, 3) to apply the postmodern educational philosophy to curriculum development for instilling ethical behaviors among students in the school and 4) to present the new body of knowledge in educational management of other schools which have adopted the postmodern philosophy. The findings of the study reveal the following. 1) The concept of educational management of Chaeng Witthaya School is based on the idea of development of knowledge along with virtue. 2) The development of the educational philosophy in the postmodern paradigm gives precedence to the body of knowledge outside the traditional knowledge network. 3) The postmodern educational philosophy applied by Chaeng Witthaya School, a Buddhist temple charity school in Songkhla Province, consists of constructivism and Buddhist philosophy, i.e. the principle of ‘Yonisomanasikarn’ and the principle of ‘Trisikkha.’ 4) New knowledge in the educational management of Chaeng Witthaya School for instilling ethical behaviors using the postmodern philosophy has been applied and used in other schools.
