Motivation of Undergraduate Students for Admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus

Abstract

The purposes of this research were : 1) to study the motivation of undergraduate students for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, 2) to compare the motivation of undergraduate students for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion classified by the personal factors, and 3) to study the suggestion and opinions about the motivation of undergraduate students for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion. The sample group consisted of undergraduate students of Department of Philosophy and Religion, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus of 65 students. The research tool was a questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Inferential statistics were t-test and One -Way ANOVA test. The results of research were as follows : 1) in the whole view, the motivation of undergraduate students for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion had been found at the moderate level, 2) the results of hypothesis test were found that the students with different genders, classes, grade point average at the high school education, type admissions, No. for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion, domicile, occupation of father, occupation of mother, and average income of families per month had no different motivation of undergraduate students for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion, and 3) the suggestion and opinions about the motivation of undergraduate students for admission of Department of Philosophy and Religion found that example has comments or suggestions six respects are want to get an idea applied in everyday life, Inspired by seniors, department should study present because many people should be elevated to a higher mind, course is interesting because there was not much to learn and interesting study, instructor generate ideas in a new light, and department of Philosophy The course is well-suited for generating knowledge applied in today's society.
