Politics of Policy

Abstract

This article has the objective for explaining to politics and power to policy formulation and definitions of policy relating to that political power including to using of power of political actors in power arena of public policy in political society. It would be explained by synthesis interpret from the political logic which is directing to power and activities into policy formulation processes found that, Politics or politics model or using of power in context of policy formulation in capital state in the present were 1) statist politics found that legitimacy state would be autonomy in policy formulation, which was the only principal of political actor, 2) pluralism politics was the state focusing on the diversity of society influencing to public policy formulation processes, state would be not independent to decision making of policy, 3) corporatism politics explained political actors which had high of social groups representing to other social groups, would balance of state power for influencing to decision making of public policy 4) public choice politics focusing on the individual decision in public policy processes through voting by political party creating policy, including to individual decision depended on maximum profit, 5) elite politics was using of latent power of special group or individual in political society influencing to policy formulation. For the policy definition was relating to using of power of that political actors. The first issue was the decision result of using of power by rule of law, policy would be the affection of authority power state, independent to make the decision to public formulation, which was the meaning of statist politics. The second issue was the result of fighting, competing, negotiating between organizations, institutions according to the policy purpose or policy was affection of fighting, competing, negotiating between organizations, institutions which state was not autonomy ,was the meaning of the state of pluralism politics and corporatism politics. The third issue, policy was political product which policy was the result of decision making of products or policy of voting from political party and politician whom produce the product or policy and delivery policy pr product to campaign arena was election area, voter chose product or policy which compared to the affection of decision making, relating to state of public choice politics. The forth one, policy was the result of interference, leading, influence, prestige, trust, faith or leader knowledge to making decision of state power, relevant to elite politics state.
