DEVELOPING A QUALITY TOURIST ATTRACTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract

The purposes of the study were to develop a quality management system for the existing tourist attraction of along the Bang Pakong River. Mixed method research was used in the study, involving both qualitative research and quantitative researches with informants are tourist attraction administrators and tourist attraction specialists. The research process was divided into two phases: assessing the potential of extant attractions, and developing a quality management system. The study found that the existing tourist attractions that have high potential to be a tourist attraction along the banks of the Bang Pakong River, which is used to develop a quality management system easily are Chaiyaphoomtharam temple and Prasat Sophon temple, that with important details define the tourist segments, developing the value propositions, developing the channels, developing the tourist relationships, developing the revenue streams, developing the key resources, developing the key activities, developing the key partnerships, and developing the cost structure.
