Fire Protection Development Guidelines for Building 3, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters

Abstract

     This research aims to 1. study the basic knowledge of fire protection and personnel readiness in Building 3, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters in fire protection and  2. to compare the personnel readiness in Building 3, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters classified by personal characteristics using quantitative research methodology. The sample consisted of 199 government officers of all ranks and government employees in fiscal year 2020. The samples are from specific service users, such as deliberate sampling with Yamaha demographic formula.

     The results of the research found that 1. most government officers and employees had basic knowledge about fire protection in item 14: Penalties under criminal law section 217, 96.00%. Item 3: Fuel and heat should be sufficient for fire, 94.50%. And the last one is item 2, about the causes of fire, there are 2 causes: natural occurrence and human action, 92.50%.               2. The sample groups with different ages, status, and educational levels had different opinions on the readiness of civil servants and employees in fire protection.Recommendations from the research found that 1) Should study the motivation factors for the development of fire protection in other agencies to compare the data.  2) The Armed Forces should require that all departments have briefings on fire protection and mitigation before and after work to prevent the risk of fire and provide training and simulations by relevant experts to train and educate government officials and employees.
