A EVALUATION OF THE CUB-SCOUT BASIC UNIT LEADER TRAINING COURSE OF NATIONAL SCOUT ORGANIZATION OF THAILAND

Abstract

           This research aimed to assess the Cub-Scout Basic Unit Leader Training Course of National Scout Organization Thailand (NSOT) by using CIPP Model. The samples included scout personnel using the Cub-Scout Basic Unit Leader Training Course under NSOT in 2022 from simple random sampling, i.e., 5 scouting experts, 20 trainers, 201 trainees, and 14 supervisors of the trainees. The instruments were 4 sets of questionnaires with reliability ≥ 0.80 The statistics for data analysis included percentage (%), mean ( ), and standard deviation (S.D.). The findings revealed that for the assessment of general information course efficiency for scout leader training under NSOT in term of context, input, process, and product, the overall of these 4 aspects was high. Specifically, 1. for the assessment of course efficiency in term of context according to the scouting experts’ opinions, it was found that the overall was highest. 2. For the assessment of course efficiency in term of input according to the trainers and trainees’ opinions, the overall was high. 3. For the assessment of course efficiency in term of process according to the trainers’ and trainees’ opinions, the overall was high. 4. For the assessment of course efficiency in term of product according to the trainees’ and their supervisors’ opinions, the overall was high.
