THE STUDY OF GUIDELINE TO DRIVE STUDENT COUNCIL OPERATIONS THROUGH A PARTICIPATORY PROCESS UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract
This research aimed to study the guidelines for advancing student council operations using a participatory approach under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The study's key informants consisted of 24 individuals, including directors of educational service area offices, staff, school directors, and teachers responsible for student council projects. The research tool used was a comprehensive interview guide, which was approved by seven experts. Part 1 achieved an Index of Items Objective Congruence ranging from 0.86 to 1.00, while Part 2 scored a perfect 1.00. Data were analyzed using content analysis.
The results were as follows: The guideline to drive student council operations through a participatory process under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. there are main issues: 1. The network's involvement in promoting student councils and fostering democracy in schools. 2. The participation of student councils in supporting and enhancing school activities. 3. The establishment and promotion of cooperative networks between student councils, communities, government agencies, and private organizations. 4. The supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of operations.
