Analysis of Microbiological Safety of lce in Pattani,Yala and Narathiwat

Abstract
Ice is highly contaminated with pathogens, while it has large amount of consumption.Objectives of this research were to analyzing and evaluating of microbial quality of crushed ice,small tube ice and large tube ice for 40 samples collected from Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat provinces compared to microbiological quality of ice in notification of the Ministry of Public found that, 95.00 % found coliform bacteria and 57.50 % found Escherichia coli. All 40 ice samples were neither found Salmonella sp. Nor Staphylococus aureus but found Clostridium perfringens 1 sample. Overall, crushed ice had total microorganisms and pathogens higher than small and large tube ice. In addition, ice samples from Yala exhibited a higher risk of microorganisms than those from Pattani and Narathiwat.
