The Development of Financial Mathematics Teaching Model for Opportunity Expansion School in Kalasin Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to development of financial mathematics teaching model for opportunity expansion school, 2) to compare students' financial literacy before and after implementing the financial mathematics instructional model, and 3) to study teachers' satisfaction with the dissemination of the financial mathematics instructional model. The sample consisted of 144 students selected through simple random sampling and 47 teachers selected purposively. The research instruments included: 1) the financial mathematics instructional model, 2) lesson plans, 3) a financial literacy test for students, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire regarding the dissemination of the instructional model for teachers. Data were analyzed using a statistical software package. Data analysis involved: using computer software. The findings revealed that: 1) a financial mathematics instructional model for opportunity expansion school. The quality of the instructional model was rated at the highest level ( = 4.67, S.D. = 0.56). 2) Students' financial literacy after using the instructional model were significantly higher than before implementation at the 0.05 level. 3) Teachers' overall satisfaction with the dissemination of the financial mathematics instructional model for extended educational opportunity schools was at the highest level (
= 4.78, S.D. = 0.40). The findings indicate the need for further development of financial mathematics instructional models and factors affecting financial literacy.
