Notification Regarding the Requirement for Two Expert Reviewers for Article Evaluation
Posted on 2026-01-14Effective November 27, 2025, journals shall employ two qualified peer reviewers in accordance with the Announcement of the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) on Criteria and Procedures for Consideration and Appointment of Personnel to the Positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor (No. 3) B.E. 2568 (2025), which stipulates:
"In the case of publication of research articles or academic articles in national-level academic journals, such publications must appear in journals indexed in the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) database, specifically:
- For the position of Assistant Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1 or TCI Tier 2
- For the position of Associate Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1
For applications for academic positions in Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines:
- For the positions of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1 or TCI Tier 2
- For the position of Professor: publications must be indexed in TCI Tier 1"
The aforementioned announcement is based on TCI criteria, which require the use of two qualified peer reviewers for article evaluation.
