Satisfaction and Needs of Parents for Enrolling their Children in Tessaban Watkaengkhoi School

Abstract

In order to establish the school to be accepted by the parents, the evaluation for development should be always made. This research served to survey the satisfactions and needs of parents who are enrolling their children in the municipality’s school “Tessaban Watkaengkhoi school.” The survey was made by sending the questionaires regarding satisfaction and needs to 293 parents, the analyses of satisfaction and needs on environment and places, teachers, and students were performed. It was found that most parents satisfied the neatness of student’s uniform (96.80%), access to library (94.80%) and very satisfied on students’ courtesy to one another (93.20%). Regarding to parents’ needs, it showed that the parents wanted the good maintenance of toilets, needs teachers to encourage the children to have study attention and diligence. Also, most parents wanted teachers to exhibit the friendly smiling faces. The satisfaction of parents who are real fathers and mothers was highly significant difference from those who are not (p-value ฃ 0.05), The results from this investigation will be benefit to the school managements in improving the educational quality.
