Application of Chitosan in Plant Tissue Culture

Abstract
Chitosan is a deacetylated derivative of chitin, derived from the exoskeletons of crustaceans. It is also found in cuticles of insects as well as in the cell walls of fungi. Chitosan is becoming more widely use in agriculture, cosmetic, water treatment and biotechnology due to it is non toxic to human. In this review, an attempt has been made to raise the understanding of the importance on the use of chitosan in agriculture as a plant biostimulator in the plant tissue culture technique.
