Development of Learning Achievement in Career Subject of Grade 5 Students Using Cooperative Learning with LT (Learning Together) Technique

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) evaluate the efficiency of the teaching process in the career subject's agricultural learning unit using cooperative learning with the LT (Learning Together) technique, and 2) compare pre-test and post-test results in the same learning unit. The sample consisted of 18 Grade 5 students from Wat Pho Rattanaram School, Semester 1, Academic Year 2567, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included 3 lesson plans following the cooperative learning model with LT technique for the agricultural learning unit and an achievement test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentage, mean, standard deviation (SD), and paired samples t-test.

The research results found that:

1) The efficiency of teaching in the career subject's agricultural learning unit, using the cooperative learning method with the LT (Learning Together) technique, showed that Grade 5 students achieved a process efficiency score of 89.59 and an outcome efficiency score of 80.28. This indicates that the innovation of cooperative learning with the LT technique in the agricultural learning unit for Grade 5 students exceeded the standard criterion of 80/80, with an efficiency ratio (E₁/E₂) of 89.59/80.28. 

2) The analysis of pre-test and post-test results in the career subject's agricultural learning unit, using the cooperative learning method with the LT technique, demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in learning achievement at the 0.05 level. The average post-test score was 16.06 with a standard deviation of 1.95, compared to the average pre-test score of 10.11 with a standard deviation of 2.52.
