School-Based Academic Affairs Management in the Suwankiri Educational Quality Development Network under the Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 5

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the academic administration using schools as a base of educational institutions in the Suwannakiri Educational Quality Development Network under the Office of the Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area 5, and 2) study the guidelines for developing academic administration using schools as a base of educational institutions in the Suwannakiri Educational Quality Development Network under the Office of the Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area 5. The research design was a mixed-methods research. The sample group used in the research was 109 administrators, teachers, and basic education committee members, and 6 qualified persons for interviews. The research instruments were questionnaires with a reliability of 0.61 and interview forms. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

          The research results found that:

          1) Academic administration using schools as a base of educational institutions in the Suwannakiri Educational Quality Development Network under the Office of the Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area 5 was found to be at a high level overall.

          2) Guidelines for developing academic administration using schools as a base of educational institutions in the Suwannakiri Educational Quality Development Network under the Office of the Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area 5 found that the basic education committee members lacked academic skills and lacked participation in academic administration. and has no role in decision making and there are few personnel in the school, so the workload is high. Training should be provided to provide knowledge and understanding of academic administration to the Basic Education Commission and personnel should be allocated appropriately to the workload.
