The research study entitled “An Analysis of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy: The Model Community of Ban Mai Khlong Toei, Pak Thong Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province” aims to achieve the following objectives: 1) to examine the problems encountered in the implementation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Ban Mai Khlong Toei, Pak Thong Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; 2) to study the concepts and theories related to the Sufficiency Economy applied in Ban Mai Khlong Toei, Pak Thong Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; and 3) to analyze the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Ban Mai Khlong Toei, Pak Thong Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This study employed a qualitative field research approach. The key informants consisted of 30 monks.

          The research results revealed that:

          1) Problems in the implementation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy: The findings indicate that the community has been able to concretely enhance the quality of life of its residents in multiple dimensions, including the reduction of household expenses, income generation, savings, debt management, conservation of natural resources and the environment, and the promotion of mutual support within the community. These outcomes have contributed to addressing informal debt problems and continuously extending development initiatives to other villages at the sub-district level.

          2) Concepts and theories related to the Sufficiency Economy: The study found that the conceptual foundation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy is derived from the royal guidance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), emphasizing moderation, reasonableness, and self-immunity. These principles are systematically integrated with Buddhist doctrines, including the Four Ditthadhammikattha (present-life benefits), the Noble Eightfold Path, the Four Kulacirathitidhamma (principles for family stability), the Four Bases of Success (Iddhipada), the Four Divine Abodes (Brahmavihara), the Four Principles of Social Solidarity (Sangahavatthu), and the Four Virtues for Householders (Gharavasa-dhamma).

          3) Analysis of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy: The analysis reveals that the community has effectively applied the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in a concrete manner by developing activities that holistically and balancedly address economic, social, environmental, and cultural dimensions. These activities align with the principles of moderation, reasonableness, and self-immunity and are implemented through participatory community processes and support from collaborative networks. The outcomes reflect an enhanced quality of life, increased self-reliance, and strengthened community resilience, positioning Ban Mai Khlong Toei as a model community that can be successfully extended to other areas.
