THE STUDY FOR BANGKACHAO COMMUNITY SUSTAINABLE CONGLOMERATION

This research aimed to study the characteristics of successful conglomerations in Thailand. The operations, the network developments, and the limitations of Bangkachao conglomerates were analyzed by using qualitative analysis, starting with documentary research. There was a total of seventeen specific data providers from six subdistricts. The semi-structured interview which is ceremonious by three experts was used as a tool to collect data, then the data obtained were analyzed.
The research found that the successful conglomerates were from 1) the precise objectives of the establishment, 2) the control from formal regulations, 3) the cooperation, the connections of outside networks, 4) the operation under specific regulations or acts relating to establishments and integrations, and 5) the establishment of formal administrations and managements by selecting members according to general meeting resolution, monitoring committee and having different responsibility structures among groups with different resources and capitals. In the study of Bangkachao conglomerates, it was found that 1) there were three types of conglomerate establishment, the ones with supporting from outside organizations, being self-establishment, and creating ways to receive supports, 2) the development of network required knowledgeable and selfless managements, distinctive products, effective activities and, understanding and selfless cooperation, lastly, 3) the limitations from the unclear objectives and operation directions would lead to the unresolved problems, no economic and social benefits for members. Therefore, the Bangkachao management and adjust the structure should be conducted as a special local administrative area
