THE HISTORICAL PROJECT CONTEST IN THE REGION STUDENT PROJECT CONTEST BY PREM TINSULANONDA NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE FOUNDATION

This qualitative research aims to analyze 1) problems and solutions that arise, and 2) the success factors of historical projects that have been awarded from the Historical Project Contest in the regional student project contest by Prem Tinsulanonda Nakhon Ratchasima Province Foundation from 307 historical project report papers submitted for the contest. The group of informants was specifically selected from those involved 95 respondents by using structured interviews. Field data was collected by in-depth interviews. Data analysis was synthesized, classified, and categorized. The results of the research found that 1) problems and solutions were as follows: problems in scheduling, location management, the pattern of the project and judging criteria for the schedule to be shorter, and awards should be given on the day of the results announcement, expansion of the competition area and more facilities should be available. Other suggestions include judges should comment on history projects, adjust the judging criteria, and award every project that entered the contest. The second results were the success factors which were the criteria for judging and the use of historical methods as follows: set up study issues from existing knowledge, gather information from direct experience, compare the evidence, interpret the evidence with one own understanding, synthesize data based on historical time dimensions and presenting study results with evidence-based references.
