Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the process of local wisdom development knowledge and set guidelines for local wisdom development for the elderly at Mueang District, Saraburi. It is a qualitative research. Target group consisted of 11 folk philosophers, 3 senates of the Saraburi Provincial Brain Bank who are in the position for more than one year, there are 3 persons and social developers who take care of the elderly for over one year. The structured interview form was used with IOC=0.87 to collect data. Data analysis is conducted by organizing, defining codes, creating temporary summaries, and prove credibility.

            The result shows that process of enhancing local wisdom consists of 1) self-awareness and systematic thinking, which are experience, expertise, Identical ability to gain incomes for one selves, in order to find system and the local wisdom course, 2) shared vision, which are the abilities to accept the changes and the balance of new knowledge and local wisdom, and 3) thinking and learning patterns including learning from ancestors, self-Intelligence, network alignment exchange, local wisdom and Lifelong development. The potential development of the elderly includes necessary basic skills for learning such as analytical thinking, Problem solving, health care, technology literacy, social existence and social participation development knowledge transfer includes a speaker self-expression, and motivation creating with guidelines on local wisdom, and database. Also, stablishing a curriculum to transfer knowledge, organize strengthening activities, and support to put of local wisdom curriculum in the national education system.
