Parents’ Participation in Educational Management of Anuban khehabangplee under Smuthprakarn Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

        This research aimed to study 1) Parents’ Participation in Educational Management of Anuban khehabangplee under Smuthprakarn Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. And 2) problems and suggestions Parents’ Participation in Educational Management of Anuban khehabangplee under Smuthprakarn Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample of this study is parents of students in Anuban khehabangplee under Smuthprakarn Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 in the academic year 2559, 256 people. By determining the sample groups size from table of Krejcie and Morgan (1970: 607). Selected with Stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. The tools used for data collection were 5 level rating scale questionnaires and open-ended question. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.

The result found that:

1. Parents’ Participation in Educational Management of Anuban khehabangplee under Smuthprakarn Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 as a whole was at moderate level (= 3.42, S.D. = 0.59). When considering each aspect, the budget is at a high level (= 3.55, S.D. = 0.77). General management is at a high level (= 3.53, S.D. = 0.79). The lowest average is personnel management. Is moderate (= 3.21, S.D. = 0.84)


2. problems and suggestions Parents’ Participation in Educational Management of Anuban khehabangplee under Smuthprakarn Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. Found that there were problems as follows: parents are not allowed to comment on school expenses, parents do not have understanding of budget management, parents have an attitude about education management as a school only duty, parents lack understanding of the school's academic work and do not understand the scope of the school's personnel management. The suggestions are as follows: 1) there should be clarified to parents about their involvement in academic studies, budgets, personnel management, and general administration. 2) should be given an opportunity to participate in monitoring and evaluation of educational management. 3) should be allowed to participate and express their opinions on the administration of the education. 4) parents should be informed of the information on the management of the school's education in academic, budget, personnel management, and general administration. 5) should prepare a report on school spending transparency.
