Study of Waste Management from Scraps Construction Materials in Miyake Seki Factory Project

Abstract

           Problems of waste from construction materials such as tiles .laminate wall panels, ceilings and other structures effect the environment and also increase the cost of each project. This study aims to determine the cause of waste from scrap materials and offering guidance to reduce waste. The construction drawing analysis, physical survey and In-depth interviews were used as research tools. The problems status, cause and effect, waste management process and guidelines for the effective waste management were explored. It can be found that ceiling materials and light weight wall panel is the first loss. However, the project is how to handle waste management rather than the use of materials to minimize waste . Waste management guidelines are as follows: 1) The study of drawing  2) the clear commands 3) the preparation of the schedules 4) site preparation ,materials and storage appropriately 5) layout within the construction area  respectively.
