The Relationship between Knowledge Sharing and Innovative Work Behavior in the Schools Managed by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration
Main Article Content
Abstract
The main purpose of this paper was to study the effects of knowledge sharing on innovative work behavior at the composite level in the schools managed by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The units of analysis were the schools managed by the BMA. The population of this study was 437 schools. The sample included 1,002 respondents from 202 schools, and after the outliers were removed from the dataset, 195 schools remained. The correlational research design and the cross-sectional study were both employed. Path analysis was the primary methods of analysis.
The results showed that all types of knowledge sharing were positively correlated with all four aspects of innovative work behavior. Additionally, when considering the whole picture, personal interactions were the type of knowledge sharing that had the most substantial positive effect on innovative work behavior. Organizational communications had the second-most important positive influence on innovative work behavior. According to the findings, policies promoting knowledge sharing behavior, particularly in personal interactions and organizational communications, should be developed and improved in order to encourage more innovative work behaviors.
