Abstract

This research aimed to study the marketing mix factors affecting purchasing decisions for cosmeceutical products through online channels in the digital era, and to compare purchasing decisions for cosmeceutical products through online channels classified by personal information. The sample consisted of 400 consumers who purchased cosmeceutical products through online channels. A questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The research findings revealed that most respondents were female, aged 21–30 years, held a bachelor’s degree, worked as private company employees, had an average monthly income of 25,001–35,000 baht, and most often purchased cosmeceutical products online because of promotions and discounts. Overall, consumers placed a high level of importance on marketing mix factors. The promotion aspect had the highest mean score, followed by price, product, and place, respectively. Overall, purchasing decisions for cosmeceutical products through online channels were also at a high level. The hypothesis testing results showed that differences in gender, age, education level, occupation, average monthly income, and reasons for purchasing significantly affected purchasing decisions at the .05 level. In addition, promotion, product, and price factors significantly influenced purchasing decisions at the .05 level, whereas the place factor had no significant influence. The recommendations from the research are that entrepreneurs should emphasize online marketing promotion together with improving product quality, safety, and credibility, setting appropriate prices, and designing marketing strategies that correspond to the characteristics of each consumer group.
