The Development of an Electronic Book (E-book) on Southern Thai Folk Dance, Tari Kipas, to Improve Learning Achievement of Grade 6 Students

Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) develop and determine the efficiency of an electronic book (E-book) on Southern Thai folk performing arts, specifically the Tari Kipas Dance, based on the 80/80 efficiency criterion; and 2) investigate students’ learning achievement before and after learning through the electronic book (E-book) on Southern Thai folk performing arts, specifically the Tari Kipas Dance. The sample consisted of 30 Grade 6 students at Muban Pamai School during the first semester of the 2025 academic year. The participants were selected using purposive sampling. The statistics employed in the study included percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), and a paired-samples t-test. The results revealed that: 1) the electronic book on Southern Thai folk performing arts, specifically the Tari Kipas Dance, developed by the researcher achieved the required efficiency criterion of 80/80. The process efficiency (E1) was 82.67, while the outcome efficiency (E2) was 84.60, both of which were higher than the prescribed 80/80 criterion; and 2) students’ learning achievement after learning through the electronic book was significantly higher than before learning at the .05 level, with a t-value of 28.45. These findings show that students’ learning achievement after learning through the electronic book on Southern Thai folk performing arts, specifically the Tari Kipas Dance, was higher than before learning.
