The Development of English Language Teaching and Learning Management for Students in the 21st Century. Case Study of First-Year Students in English for International Communication Faculty of Arts

Abstract
The objective of this study was to 1) study the expectations of teaching and learning management of English for Communication Course of first year students in majoring English for international communication Faculty of Arts, and 2) Comparison of teaching and learning English for communication purposes of first year students in English for International Communication Program Faculty of Arts, Gender and Classroom Groups. This research was survey research. The 94 samples of first-year university students in the English for International Communication Program. Faculty of Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Chakrabongsebhuwanat Campus were used. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire, and descriptive statistics - frequency distribution table, percentage, means and standard deviation were used for data analysis
The results revealed that: 1) the factors affecting the expectation of English language teaching and learning management for international communication in rgeneral were important at the high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the course structure was at the highest level, followed by the expectation in teachers, media and learning facilities, respectively. Students expected teaching and learning activities focusing on practicing conversation, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar. The Activities that encouraged every student to participate in using English for communication in virtual situations, and 2) The gender assumptions are not different. And for the classroom group, group 3 was the only group that was different from group 1 and group 2 at statistical significance at the .05 level.
