Figure of Speech Usage Existing in the Poetry Books of Rangsit University Press Awarded at National Book Fair

Abstract

the figure of speech usage in the Poetry Books of Rangsit University Press Awarded at National Book Fair. The data are corrected from 12 Poetry Books of Rangsit University Press awarded at National Book Fair. The research adopts treatment of figure of speech as the basis for the analysis of the data and the classification of the types of figure of speech found and was analysis with percentage calculations. The findings reveal that there are 13 figures of speech in the works under study they are 1) simile 2) metaphor 3) symbol 4) personification 5) apostrophe 6) hyperbole 7) onomatopoeia 8) metonymy 9) synecdoche 10) allegory 11) allusion 12) oxymoron 13) analogy. Moreover, the Poetry Books that the most usage of figure of speech is “Rai–fa–rae–fun” and the little usage is “lok–pra–jam–tua”
